Father's Day Edition

Happy Father’s day to all the wonderful fathers out there who are handling their business with their children and holding down the home front. To those men who have children and aren’t necessarily being the best father I say take this Father’s day to mark the beginning of your newfound fatherhood. Remember it’s always better late than never. Stand up, be a man, and take care of your children. Now ladies if the father of your children is trying to have a positive influence in the child’s life you have to step back and allow him to do so. And always remember that fathering your child doesn’t always equal him being your boyfriend/husband/lover, etc.

It is what it is so stop being selfish and only worrying about your romantic relationship with him if it interferes with the relationship he has with the child. Another point I’d like to make is that present fathers not be taken for granted or treated as “Disposable Dads” as one of my father figures says. If you’re dad didn’t run out on you be grateful because that’s more than a lot of people can say nowadays.  On another note shout out to all the moms who have to act as mommy and daddy. To you I say happy Father’s day as well.

I hear you Rachel,
It was very nice of you to point out it is better late than not at all. I'll give a shout out to my dad, we spent a few hours with him on Father's Day. You were there so you know. Being a father does not mean you have to do it all perfect all the time, but do "something" then when you are an old man "like my dad". Your kids will ask the grand kids to come spend Father's day with you too.
